Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks

Well you can never have enough lipsticks, can you? (especially if they are great quality for an excellent price)

Whilst I was looking around my local Superdrug store I happened to stumble across the extensive range of Color Sensational lipsticks by the well known, trustworthy brand Maybelline

What first caught my eye was the good quality and sturdy packaging, which is colour coded to co-ordinate each type of lipstick in their range. At present I have to say that I prefer a matte lip, firstly due to the way it looks and secondly matte lipsticks appear to have excellent staying power!

Whilst browsing the matte colours in their dark grey and silver packaging. I came across a vivid and bold orangey/red colour which is cleverly named Craving Coral. As well as a beautiful deep berry colour, deliciously named Divine Wine (which is perfect for autumn/winter). You can imagine I had to purchase these two shades (why wouldn't I?) These lipsticks were priced at a very valuable £6.99 each for excellent quality, although at present they are currently on at 2 for £12:00 on selected Maybelline products at Superdrug

On applying the gorgeous lipsticks, I was delighted in the way they went on evenly and smoothly and felt high end quality. The colours were very vivid and bold, which lasted throughout the day with continued intensity, even after drinking the occasional coffee's.

Whilst wearing both of the shades which I had purchased, I had compliments from my friends, who then purchased the same identical shades. Needless to say I am already planning my next purchase from this collection very soon.

Have you tried the Maybelline Color Sensational range, if so what colours did you buy and what did you think?

My Love of Bluebird Tea Company

I love, love, love tea, what is not to love? One of my favourite brands of tea are the Bluebird Tea Co (mixologists), who are a independent award winning tea mixology company which was set up and is run by two people, who met at university and started their company by packing tea in their bedroom and attending markets, building Bluebird tea from scratch.

In addition to the individual packets of tea (whether loose or bags), they also have Tea Tasting Club subscriptions where you can try 3x new tea's on a monthly basis for £7:00 +p&p with no contract, which enables you to cancel at anytime.

Although I have tried a number of Bluebird tea's and have had multiple favourites. The ones I am loving at present are:

Pink Grapefruit - mouth watering pink grapefruit juices and buttery green sencha tea. (ingredients) - Chinese sencha green tea, hibiscus, orange peel, red cornflowers, natural flavouring.

Gingerbread Chai - Award-winning, spiced gingerbread chai tea.
(ingredients) - Rooibos, cardamon, cinnamon, ginger, mallow flowers, flavour.

Pandalicious Liquorice - All the super herbs you could ever need in this cleansing, calming, detox blend.
(ingredients) - Chamomile, liquorice, peppermint, ginger.

Earl Grey Creme - Fresh and fragrant earl grey with a hint of vanilla.
(ingredients) - Ceylon black tea, vanilla, cornflowers, bergamot flavour.

Have you tried Bluebird tea's, what is your favourite?

Zoella's Jelly & Gelato Collection

I'm sure I'm not the only one who absolutely adores all of Zoella's beauty ranges, at present my favourite scent has to be the Blissful Mistful although that was before I found a good competitor being Zoella's new Jelly & Gelato collection which I was lucky to purchase on 3for2 at my local Superdrug store.

Where do I start, firstly the fab packaging, the cute colours that scream summer, with beautiful pastel shades and shapes which imitate edible treats.

The three products I chose from the delicious range were:

Zoella Jelly and Gelato Gelat'eau Mist - RRP £8.00
Once again Zoe has so got this perfect!  this beautiful scent is a combination of elderflower notes and rich double cream, which is the perfect summer scent.

Zoella Jelly and Gelato Shower Shake - RRP £6:00
Apart from loving the brilliant packaging, this body wash is thick and luxurious which not only leaves you feeling clean but makes you smell amazing that lasts for hours, whilst ensuring your skin is moisturised.

Zoella Jelly and Gelato Bath Frosting - RRP £7:00
The beautiful pastel container has four sachets of powder, when sprinkled under a running tap, I absolutely adore how this magically transforms your bath water into a moisturising bath of creamy milkiness.

Overall I am so pleased with the items which I have purchased and I am definitely planning on purchasing more from the range very soon. The complete Jelly and Gelato range feels high end, although is very affordable and is available to purchase from Superdrug stores and online at Feelunique

Have you tried the Jelly and Gelato collection yet, if so what do you think?

Recent Trip to Liverpool

Liverpool will always have a place in my heart as I met my partner there 16 years ago! Although we have not been for some years now, we thought it was about time we paid it a visit.

We decided to stay at the Titanic hotel (which was once a busy rum warehouse) as it not only had good reviews on Trip Advisor but looked fab with spacious rooms (starting at a staggering 56sqm of space) which overlook the Stanley dock and is within close distance to the city centre/Albert dock area (approx £4.00 taxi fare).

The Titanic Hotel

On arrival at the hotel, our first impressions were 'wow' as the building was amazing with original features and excellent decor and once again huge space. After checking into our rooms and leaving our luggage, we chose to eat in the hotel bar area overlooking the dock. The food was good bar food and was greatly accepted following a long drive.

The Best Ever Bed!

After refuelling, we got a taxi to the city centre as typical-British weather would predict, it started to rain.

The city centre is better than I can recall with Liverpool One bringing new shops and restaurants. Although one coffee shop/bar I was keen to re-visit was Leaf on Bold street. Once again we were not disappointed as the tea/cake was to die for and the cocktails/drinks failed to disappoint.

We managed to find Brewdog (which was high on our agenda) with the help of the God send Google Maps!

On waking the next morning after a very substantial buffet style breakfast, overlooking the dock. We decided to visit the nearby Albert Dock as the Clothes Show was taking place there, as well as vintage markets, food stalls and the beloved Tate art gallery (which we enjoyed).

Before returning back to hotel for cocktails we ate at Byron Burger, what more can you want than great food and very friendly staff!

Through researching the beloved internet and friends recommendations,  we chose to visit the Baltic Triangle before heading home, which consisted of interesting coffee shops/eateries although it still appeared to be under revamp (will make sure we re-visit next time).

We definitely enjoyed our weekend break in Liverpool and were really impressed with all of the improvements which have been made. I would certainly recommend the Titanic hotel which was fab and of course would recommend anyone who is planning a trip to Liverpool to stay there as you would not be disappointed (we certainly were not) .

~Hope you have enjoyed hearing about our lovely weekend~
